Something for Everyone at CHEST 2016 in Los Angeles

April 7, 2016 by CHEST Guest Writer

Much like many of you, my calendar year is highlighted by important events in chest medicine. In the spring, my colleagues and I discuss the MOC exams; in the summer, many of us are attending board review courses; and in the fall, I know I can look forward to the premier education event in clinical chest medicine, the CHEST Annual Meeting. This year especially, there are going to be so many interdisciplinary options, that I’m excited to engage my whole team.

I hope many of you will bring your colleagues and your teams to CHEST 2016 in Los Angeles. Nurses, fellows, medical directors, hospitalists, pulmonologists, respiratory therapists—there’s something for everyone! There will be more than 400 general sessions, postgraduate courses, simulation education, and lots of opportunities for networking and socializing.

I’m also particularly excited that Los Angeles will host CHEST 2016. In your free time, you’ll be able to walk to many restaurants and venues, including L.A. Live and the Staples Center for entertainment and sporting events. Or, take a quick drive to the California Science Center or the Museum of Contemporary Art. If you decide to add time to your visit, before or after the meeting, you can check out Los Angeles’s beautiful beaches, amusement parks, mountain ranges, and of course Hollywood!

But don’t take my word for it. Here’s why some of my colleagues are excited for CHEST 2016.
