Jackson Pulmonary has emphasized team-focused patient care in their namesake Mississippi city since 1983. The team is attending CHEST 2017 in October and we're highlighting each team member's reasons for attending throughout the month of May.

What are your takeaways from past CHEST Annual Meetings?
I love the opportunity to network with health care professionals from across the nation and internationally as well as review the most current research topics that will eventually impact my practice. At CHEST 2015, in Montréal, we had the opportunity to provide pulmonary function testing for the public. That was very rewarding.
How did attending CHEST improve your patient care?
Attending CHEST allows me to implement the latest evidence-based research into my practice.
What are you looking forward to at CHEST 2017?
This year, I look forward to the induction ceremony for Dr. John Studdard as President of the Foundation. I have worked closely with him for over 18 years.
In your view, why is a team-focused health-care important?
I believe that it takes different perspectives that simultaneously are working toward the same goal to effectively manage patients.
