Trainees: What You Can Do at CHEST 2017

As a trainee, there are multiple opportunities for you at the CHEST Annual Meeting. Whether you’re seeking networking opportunities or looking to gain more knowledge, let the meeting provide you with the trainee resources to excel.

Here are five things you won’t want to miss!

1. Trainee Recharge Lounge

Stop by the Trainee Recharge Lounge Sunday, October 29, to Wednesday, November 1, to recharge, attend trainee-specific educational sessions, and network. Educational sessions will cover a variety of topics, ranging from choosing your career path to financial planning, leadership, and more!

2. CHEST Challenge Championship/NetWork Trainee Mixer

Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel – Dominion Ballroom

Game on! Cheer for your favorite team during the CHEST Challenge Championship. The top three teams will go head-to-head in a Jeopardy-style format. Watch the teams compete while challenging your own knowledge. Who will take the title this year? Come and find out on Tuesday, October 31. All the while, the NetWork Trainee Mixer will be taking place. Trainees are encouraged to meet with NetWork (special interest group) leaders in this face-to-face, casual setting. Appetizers and drinks provided!

3. Case Report Oral Presentations

Metro Toronto Convention Centre – Exhibit Hall

This is a prime time for you to learn from your peers! Choose from 20 oral case report sessions and learn about the latest research in critical care, procedures, pulmonary diseases, neoplastic diseases, and more. This is your chance to attend and support educational sessions by fellows, medical students, and residents.

4. Young Professionals Reception

The Fifth Social Club

Young professionals up to 5 years out of training are invited to this reception hosted by the CHEST Foundation on Monday, October 30. Meet your colleagues in a relaxed, social atmosphere, and let the foundation show appreciation for your commitment to chest medicine. Space is limited. RSVP here.

5. Experience CHEST
