The CHEST Foundation champions lung health through clinical research and community service grants. Since 1996, we’ve provided over $10 million in funding for clinical research and community service around the world. At CHEST 2018, we’ll recognize the winners of nearly a half-million dollars in research and community service grants that advance lung health. Donations to the CHEST Foundation funded more than a half million dollars in grants at CHEST 2016. The inspiring work of 11 individuals was recognized at the CHEST Foundation awards ceremony.
“I am very proud to have been awarded a CHEST Foundation grant and pleased that clinical research and real-word evidence are a priority to the foundation,” stated Alice Turner, MBChB, MRCP, PhD. The Distinguished Service Award is presented to a Fellow who has made exceptional contributions to CHEST in terms of time, leadership, and service. It is not bestowed annually but rather as appropriate to honor one who has devoted much to the organization. This year at CHEST 2016, Kim French, MHSA, CAPPM, FCCP, was the first nonphysician provider to receive this award.
