In what time zone does the annual meeting take place?
Central Time.

How do I access the virtual platform?
A sign in button will be available on the CHEST 2021 meeting site when the platform is live. If you don’t see a sign in button, the site isn’t quite ready. We are working to make it available as soon as we can, and appreciate your patience.


How do I access a live session?
After signing in to CHEST 2021, you will see current live sessions near the top of the landing page. You can also navigate to the Live / Schedule page to access a live session.

How do I create ‘My Schedule’?
If you are viewing the live schedule ahead of time, you have the option to add a session to your personal calendar. Use the ‘Attend’ button to create a schedule of the sessions you don’t want to miss and view them under My Schedule.

If I missed a live session, when will it be available?
All live presentations will be available in the virtual platform approximately 48 hours after the scheduled timeslot.

How do I access a past live session recording?
After signing in to CHEST 2021, you will find recordings of past live sessions in On Demand / Live Session Recordings approximately 48 hours after the original live session time.

When can I start viewing the On Demand content?
Most on demand sessions will be available when the platform opens. Some on demand content will continue to be recorded throughout October to accommodate our faculty. Completed recordings will be uploaded to the online meeting platform as they are available with new content being delivered through November 5, 2021.


When is the exhibit hall open?
The exhibit hall will open October 17, 2021. You can schedule meetings or see a company representative’s availability by visiting their booth. The exhibit booths will be accessible until October 1, 2022.

How do I get my free T-shirt?
Connect to the T-shirt order page from Experience CHEST, which is in the exhibit hall. The T-shirts are free, but you will pay for shipping.

What is First Contact – Escape Room?

How do I sign up for the virtual escape room?
This live escape room requires registration. Registered participants will receive a unique Zoom link in their email inbox for the live escape room on Tuesday, October 19, from 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm CT.

What if I forget the email with which I registered for the virtual meetings?

What are system requirements?
You can watch content on PCs running Windows 7+, and Intel-based Macs running macOS 10.12+. You can also watch video on Android tablets and phones using Chrome, and on iPhones and iPads using Safari.

Requirements for Apple computers:

  • macOS 10.12 or later
  • Supported browsers: Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Opera. We recommend using the latest version of your browser.

Requirements for Windows computers:

  • Windows 7, Windows 8.7 or Windows 10
  • Supported browsers: Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Opera. We recommend using the latest version of your browser.
  • Internet Explorer is not supported.

Can I view the meeting on a mobile device?
Yes, the meeting platform can be viewed on a mobile device and will be formatted for mobile viewing. CME claiming is best accessed on a computer.

Is there an app?
There is no app for this year’s meeting.


What do I need to do to earn the maximum amount of CME/MOC?
The maximum amount of CME/MOC available can be earned by: 1) viewing all the pre-event/prerecorded lectures, and 2) attending all of the live sessions or watching/listening to the recorded content from the live sessions missed.

Do I have to watch the session live in order to claim CME for it?
You do not need to participate in a live session to claim CME for it. You will be able to claim credit for viewing live sessions, pre-recorded sessions, and live sessions as recordings. Claiming is determined by the amount of time spent interacting with educational content, regardless if it is live or prerecorded.

What is the maximum amount of CME/MOC available?
There is a maximum of 50 CME/MOC available

  • 50 credits for MD, NP, PA, AANPCB
  • 25.0 credits for RRT
  • 23.0 credits for Sleep

How do I claim my CME or COA and what is the deadline to claim?
After signing in to CHEST 2021, you will find the How to Claim CME tab located in the top navigation of the Live and On Demand sections as well as in the ‘More…’ slide out panel.

Claiming opens Wednesday, October 20, at 12:00 pm CT and must be claimed by Thursday, December 15, 2022, at 11:59 pm CT.

How do I receive MOC points?
You will earn MOC equivalent to the amount of CME you claim for the activity. When prompted at claiming, please verify or enter your ABIM ID and date of birth. CHEST will submit your points automatically, on your behalf. Please allow 3 to 5 business days after claiming the points to be reflected on your ABIM record.


How long will I have access to the recordings? Are recordings downloadable?
You will have continued access and all material will be available until October 1, 2022. Videos are not downloadable.
