You’ll want to visit the Exhibit Hall at CHEST 2017 for the complimentary lunch, morning coffee breaks, or the afternoon treats, but we promise the Exhibit Hall will impress you with more than just food. The Exhibit Hall is your resource for the latest advances in chest medicine, including three learning, Critical Care Skills Workshops, GAMEs, and much more.

Plus, you won’t want to miss our exhibitors. Kevin Chan, PharmD of Insmed Incorporated, shares what Insmed will be bringing to CHEST 2017.

Insmed (Booth #1522)

Insmed is a global biopharmaceutical company focused on the unmet needs of patients with rare diseases, like NTM (nontuberculous mycobacteria) lung disease. We are dedicated to engaging pulmonary specialists in a discussion about NTM.

NTM is a chronic pulmonary infection that affects an estimated 86,000 people in the US and it can be fatal. Patients with structural lung disease, such as bronchiectasis or COPD, could be at an increased risk for NTM lung disease. Patients with compromised immune systems are also at a higher risk for developing NTM.

Insmed artworkWith all of this in mind, we reached out to NTM patients to learn about their journey to an NTM diagnosis. The initiative, A Thousand Words About NTM, uses the patients’ stories to inspire artists from around the world to create original artwork. These works of art have helped patients communicate challenges they’ve often struggled to put into words—the long, difficult journey to an NTM diagnosis. See and hear these inspiring stories come to life through dynamic videos and audio testimonials at Booth #1522.
